On the street, Haslam has a small lead over Ramsey
Wamp has imploded and bloodied Haslam enough and raised his negatives such that he's 5 points up on Ramsey, 10 points up on Wamp.
Haslam was not prepared to discuss "national" issues in his "Tennessee" campaign, opting instead for pretty pictures and David Wright talking about sneaking pie and when the topics rolled to Arizona, economic development, reducing the size of government, the 10th amendment, the implication of ObamaCare on TennCare, Haslam was essentially dead in the water, left to only talk about what Pilot Oil had done in terms of job creation (mostly hourly wage level positions)corporate accountability (they're a good corporate citizen) and his conservative credentials (he's rethinking that Al Gore donation and his relationship with Michael Bloomberg).
Haslam should win by smaller margings than a 10 million campaign primary would engender, however, he'll have to put 3 million of his own money into the deal to win in November and that in and of itself raises as many questions as it answers.
