The League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County are hosting a mayoral forum on Friday, July 20th.

A public forum with the two candidates for Knox County Mayor will be held on Friday, July 20, 6-7 pm at the Pellissippi State Community College, Magnolia Campus. Both Linda Haney, Democratic candidate, and Glenn Jacobs, Republican candidate, will attend.

This non-partisan event will offer voters a chance to become informed about candidates’ positions on the issues based on questions from the audience. Just as important, it gives the candidates an opportunity to learn about issues important to voters.

The forum is sponsored by League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County, Knoxville Area Urban League Young Professionals, Pellissippi State Community College, Knoxville Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the NAACP - Knoxville Branch.

The general election is Aug. 2. 2018, at which time the Knox County Mayor and other local officials will be selected. Democratic and Republican primary candidates for state and federal offices will also appear on the ballot. Visit Vote411.org to see who will be on your ballot.
